International Trade Briefing & Networking Event

On Tuesday 20 October 2015, The Claude Littner Business School in Partnership with West London Business, held the International Trade Briefing and Networking Event, Best Practice Network.

The keynote speakers for the evening were Alan Rides (International Trade Advisor, UK Trade and Investment), Will Tyler (Chief Executive, Octink) and Dr Amelia Au-Yeung (Head of Subject in Business, Management and Marketing, The Claude Littner Business School).

The University of West London Best Practice Network has been set up to provide a platform for academics and practitioners to share the latest research thinking and best practices. This platform provides a neutral avenue  to discuss matters, concerns and opportunities that are important for the future of business and industry.

Another objective of the network is to explore opportunities to capitalise on the University knowledge and to seek knowledge transfer routes from the University to industry through undertaking joint projects, joint research, consultancy and training and student placements.
The meetings are designed to bring together an expert each from the University and industry to discuss the latest problems and possible solutions and challenges in implementing such solutions. It also facilitates the sharing of best practice that is adopted in parts of the industry. We expect that it will create multi-dimensional knowledge flows among participants.

“Excellent venue with good hospitality. The presenters Alan Rides (International Trade Advisor, UK Trade and Investment) and Will Tyler (Chief Executive, Octink) presentation were excellent. Dr Amelia Au-Yeung (Head of Subject in Business, Management and Marketing, The Claude Littner Business School) presentation was the best. Stephen Fry (Hounslow Chambers)”
