West London Business Awarded Investor Development Contract

West London Business (WLB), the sub-region’s Chamber of Commerce, has just been awarded a contract for investor development in West London by the London Development Agency (LDA).  The LDA funded programme is designed to attract new investment in the area, as well as to retain and grow established businesses in West London.

WLB can provide free support to companies and has a successful track record in support with a comprehensive range of information, which ranges from details of available business space, contact details for property fit-out and local authority business support, through to advice on local banking and legal services, statistics on skills levels, details of business sector strengths and local support for business continuity planning.  Assistance can also be provided with local authority mediation, as well as introductions to potential customers.

The investor development team is headed up by Russell Harris, WLB’s Deputy CEO, who also takes responsibility for corporate headquarters, ICT and general enquiries, along with Sarah Meyer covering the food and drink sectors and James Stockwell, whose brief includes the creative and media sectors, as well as bio sciences and pharmaceuticals.

Russell Harris comments: “We are delighted to have been awarded the investor development contract by the LDA.  WLB has long standing expertise and success in this area.  We would like to encourage businesses in the sub-region to get in touch if they are considering, or going through some kind of change, whether it is relocation consolidation, growth or closure.”
