West London Business secures three months of additional support for local businesses

UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) London, the government organisation that helps Londoners to grow their business through international trade has expanded its reach and is now delivering services through West London Business (WLB).

Comprehensive free support, mentoring, advice and guidance is now available for businesses located in Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow that would like to begin expanding into overseas markets.

The UKTI London programme of activities, part-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund, comprises of a full schedule of events, workshops and one-to-one meetings in partnership with WLB.

Frank Wingate, Chief Executive of WLB, comments: “This is a fantastic opportunity for SMEs in West London, providing them with free support to improve their understanding of international markets and boost their trading skills.  This in turn will help firms improve their productivity and profitability, generate sales in new markets and, above all, create new jobs.”

The offering is focused on helping small to medium enterprises (SMEs) understand the opportunities in international markets and how to operate effectively within them.  Through a global network of local experts and proven hands-on expertise, UKTI are able to deliver independent advice and assistance to enter international markets.  This Government-backed initiative also seeks to promote innovative partnerships with overseas firms and institutions by opening doors and instigating change, as well as providing tailored advice to businesses on adapting to market opportunities and change.
