Policy Paper for Mayoral Candidates

WLB has sent the following Ten Point Policy Paper to the Mayor and the main mayoral candidates for the coming election in May and requested their response. The paper was formulated in consultation with the WLB Board and Membership and represents the key issues that most concern the West London community:

10 points for the Mayor

Major Strategy Documents out for Public View

Two formative strategic documents relating to West London are now available. The West London Local Economic Assessment lays out a comprehensive analysis of our area and is a vital reference document for businesses and public sector alike. Take a look here to find a compendium of facts and trends in West London. Also just published is the West London Sub-regional Transport Plan. Put together by Transport for London in collaboration with the West London Partnership, it lays out the overall framework for transport developments in our part of London. You can view this here.

WLB lobbies the Mayor on new development tax

WLB has written to the Mayor Boris Johnson, and his advisors, to lobby on behalf of our members over the proposed Community Infrastructure Levy. Our view is that the CIL must be administered with flexibility and care if it is not to deter property development in West London at a time when business growth is vital for economic recovery.
