RT HON BORIS JOHNSON MP VISITS COMPLETED SCHEME BELMONT,
AVIVA INVESTORS’ £30 MILLION OFFICE REDEVELOPMENT IN UXBRIDGE
TOWN CENTRE, WEST LONDON
The Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP today visited Aviva Investors’ 129,676 sq ft (12,047 sq m) office redevelopment, Belmont which reached practical completion in December 2016. This follows an 18 month, £30 million redevelopment schedule of works which saw the building stripped back to its frame and rebuilt to create a grade A office scheme in the heart of Uxbridge town centre, West London. Large, light filled, agile open plan floor plates – averaging 26,500 sq ft (2,465 sq m) – have been created over five levels. Belmont, which is located in the heart of Uxbridge town centre, has been designed to suit either a sole corporate occupier or operate as a multi-let development.
Belmont, which has achieved a BREEAM Excellent certification, is a two minute walk to Uxbridge tube station, with town centre shopping and cafes/restaurants nearby. Its neighbours include Coca Cola and Xerox, and Belmont is only six miles from Heathrow, as well as being within easy reach of the M25, the M4 and the national road network. The first class office scheme, which received full planning consent in June 2015, has included an additional fifth floor, two roof terraces and a full height atrium. In addition, 171 secure basement car parking space and 116 cycle bays are provided. The state of the art development will include renewable energy technology, energy efficient building services, a green roof and landscaped private terraces. In addition, Belmont’s office-workers will be able to benefit from the re-designed Friends Garden, adjacent to the building.

Boris Johnson, Rt Hon MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip, said, “It’s a positive endorsement for Uxbridge that organisations such as Aviva Investors are investing long-term here. The £30 million redevelopment of Belmont into a corporate headquarters, ready for the 21st century, increases Uxbridge’s offering to corporates who want to move to West London. Plus these types of developments allow us to compete effectively with our neighbouring boroughs in terms of attracting inward investment.”

Julian Cobourne, Senior Asset Manager at Aviva Investors, said, “We are immensely proud that Belmont has recently been awarded a BREEAM excellent certification. Companies are looking for a combination of elegant, practical design with great transport links, combined with green credentials – all of which have been realised in our office scheme Belmont.”
