Ealing Council’s Regeneration Team and partners have reached an exciting stage in the delivery of the Dine in Southall Project, at Southall Manor House. A full planning application has been submitted to Ealing council and planning consultation is now underway. Since 2011, comprehensive research, community/stakeholder engagement and options analysis and feasibility studies have been carried out to help shape and plan this project.
This project will provide a sustainable future for the Grade II* Listed Manor House as a new hospitality hub, building on Southall’s excellence in food. The project will focus on the catering and hospitality industry creating opportunities for learning, skills training and employment, as well as providing support for local businesses. Facilities will include events space, training and meeting rooms, a restaurant and kitchen. This project will help to revitalise a neglected area in Southall by bringing Southall Manor House back into a sustainable and active use, creating a destination location for Southall at a historic and landmark building.
The key objectives of the project are the:
• Renovation, restoration and reinstatement of the Southall Manor House as a destination location for the local community and Businesses
• Establish a landmark location that builds on the heritage value of the Southall Manor House and site which is actively used by local people and organisations, and attracts new visitors and investors to Southall.
• Creation of a new training and enterprise hub that delivers high quality services, employment and apprenticeships, skills training and learning opportunities and support and facilities for local businesses
• The vision for DISH is in line with local strategy and policy, including, the Southall Big Plan, London Borough of Ealing’s Corporate Plan, The Southall Opportunity Area Planning Framework and West London’s Vision for Growth
