Andrew Dakers, CEO, West London Business said:
“Since 2003 the London Mela at Gunnersbury Park in London Boroughs of Hounslow and Ealing has particularly celebrated some of the Indian cultural heritage now infused into West London life – and over the next six months the historic Southall Manor will complete its refurbishment as a place where the next generation of chefs can discover and learn about Indian cuisine.
“My own relationship with the IOD India stretches back to 2009. As a passionate advocate of responsible business practice and good corporate governance, it has been my great pleasure to contribute to past conferences in India – both in New Delhi and Palampur.
“Members of the commonwealth of nations India’s and the UK’s bonds – through good times and bad – remain incredibly deep across the centuries. We are both trading nations and I am delighted that we cement our historic relationship further today with the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding with the IOD.”
Manoj Raut, CEO, IOD India, added:
“The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding between IOD, India and West London Business, will provide both industry associations an exciting opportunity to come together and conduct joint programmes, business collaborations between UK and India, that will help achieve desired business growth in the age of globalisation.
“We sincerely welcome and acknowledge this memorandum as a significant step forward and I hope this will lead to a future of shared prosperity. Thank you and congratulations again to West London Business.”
