The UK chief of the world’s pioneering and leading online retailer, Amazon, is set to feature at West London’s premier business event this year. Brian McBride, Amazon’s former UK Managing Director, is the keynote speaker at the prestigious West London Business Annual Dinner, scheduled for March 31 at the Marriott Heathrow hotel.
The highlight of West London’s business calendar, the Annual Dinner, sponsored this year by HSBC and Hillingdon Training, attracts a high level corporate audience of several hundred senior private and public sector executives. As well as the opportunity to gain an insight from Brian McBride about the issues and challenges facing industry, guests will enjoy an Indian-inspired menu and an evening of high profile networking.
Brian McBride recently stepped down as Managing Director of Amazon.co.uk after five years. He has spent 30 years in the IT, technology and internet industries. He began his career with Xerox and subsequently worked at IBM, Crosfield Electronics, Madge Networks, Lucent, Dell Computers as Vice President, Northern Europe and as Managing Director of T-Mobile (UK). Brian is the Senior Non-Executive Director at Computacenter PLC and is a Trustee of In Kind Direct, a charity which redirects surplus products to the needy and recently retired from the Board of Celtic FC after five years as a Non-Executive Director.
