This September Open House has teamed up with The Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) to deliver a weekend of exciting free events entitled ‘Lifting the Lid on Old Oak and Park Royal’. The aim of the weekend is to encourage Londoners to explore and enjoy the areas of Old Oak and Park Royal. OPDC is the Local Planning Authority and regeneration agency developing a whole new area and community in west London. Old Oak and Park Royal is the only place where HS2 meets the Elizabeth line. OPDC has been established to by the Mayor of London to use this opportunity to promote a thriving new part of west London; somewhere people will aspire to live, work and visit, and a destination people will return to time and time again.

Walking Tours and Events
Throughout the 22 and 23 September 2018 you can take part in an exciting range of walking tours and events covering themes such as different ways of living in the area, local industrial histories, Old Oak and Park Royal’s fascinating links to the film industry and historical characters.
Unless otherwise stated, places for the tours will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. You can register for them on the day at the sign up desk at The Collective, NW10 6FF from 11am. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Over the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd September 2018 families can take part in a variety of free events to celebrate the vibrant places, communities, industries and businesses in Old Oak and Park Royal. From exploring an old carpet factory and weaving musical tales to designing dream living spaces, families can enjoy a range of hands-on workshops over five locations celebrating a truly unique and industrious area of London.
