PLANNING PERMISSION HAS BEEN GRANTED FOR THE SECOND PHASE OF WORK AT EASTMAN VILLAGE IN HARROW ON THE SITE OF THE FORMER KODAK FACTORY.
The development is set within the Harrow and Wealdstone Opportunity Area and Heart of Harrow Housing Zone, which have both been earmarked for new homes by Harrow Council and the Greater London Authority. Housing association Hyde Group and developers Barratt London will work with architects Carter Jonas to create the next phase, which will have 350 homes. Eastman Village will provide new community and leisure space and 40% affordable homes, and is one part of the wider Harrow View East development that will eventually deliver 1,800 new homes as well as green spaces to the borough.
David Gannicott, group director of business development at the Hyde Group, said: “This latest milestone in the development of Eastman Village is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all the partners working together to create a fantastic new community in Harrow.”
