London is already Europe's leading tech hub and now we want to grow the Capital's reputation as a beacon for Cleantech innovation - companies producing technologies, goods and services that reduce negative impacts on our environment.
Now in its 4th year, the Better Futures programme - co-funded by the GLA and ERDF - continues to give over 150 small businesses the boost they need to be successful in London, and create a hub for low-carbon and circular industries in our city.
Measuring. Monitoring. Reducing
In 2021. as a natural next step in the development of the Better Futures programme, we announced an expansion, funded by the Mayor's Green New Deal Fund.
This expansion programme, Better Futures+, allows increased activity and diversification of support to ensure that London's transition to net zero advances despite the pandemic. Companies like those in programme are pioneering how to achieve Net Zero and will help showcase our national efforts ahead of the UK hosting COP26 in the Autumn.
