Launch of ‘Empress Yard’ community space

‘Empress Yard’ is a new open air temporary space located on the former Earls Court 2 site, which will be available from early December 2021 until April 2022 (TBC).

This space will be available for local community event use (under permitted development rights, the space could be used for a variety of activities including markets, craft fairs and workshops, for example).

The 50m x 30m gravelled yard will be surrounded by fencing with festoon lighting. Entrance to the space will be via Empress Place. If you are a local community group or organisation who wish to use the space, then the Earls Court Development Company (ECDC) would love to hear from you. Use of the space will be free for local community groups and registered charities.

ECDC are keen to hear what types of activity there is interest in, to help them understand what will be of most use to the local community in the years ahread. They will not host events that may conflict with the North End Road Market or local traders, and are looking for events that mainly run at weekends in the daytime or early evening. No late evenings will be considered out of respect of local neighbours.

All ‘hires’ will be subject to health and safety assessments- please note that this is not an events management company- ECDC simply provide a space to hold your events.

If you have any ideas or would like to use this space, please contact Jade with an outline at jade.barltrop@earslcourtdevco.com.
