Draft Local Heritage Listings Consultation
Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) is in the process of designating the Local Heritage Listings.
Local Heritage Listings comprise of the Local List and Buildings of Local Heritage Interest and are designated based on their heritage significance. Unlike Statutory Listed Assets, Local Heritage Listings do not benefit form statutory protection from demolition but they do assist OPDC in identifying non-designated heritage assets. This ensures that the conservation of a non-designated asset is a material consideration in determining planning applications. It also helps OPDC to identify and use the asset to shape the character of new development.
The consultation is taking place between 8 February and 22 March 2018 on the following components:
- Draft Local Heritage Listings – comments are sought on the proposed assets to be included in the listings
- Draft Selection Criteria – comments are sought on the selection criteria used to identify the proposed assets
- Nominations to the Local Heritage Listings – nominations to the listings are sought using this form
These documents are also available for inspection at City Hall, The Queen’s Walk, More London Riverside, London SE1 2AA.
