PwC is delighted to announce that ‘fit-out’ contractors have started work at 40 Clarendon Road, the destination for PwC’s new Watford office. Work aims to be completed by the end of 2020, when 600 of PwC’s existing Uxbridge and Watford teams will be able to call the office their new home.
Whilst this will become PwC’s base in the local area, the events of the last few months have shown that moving forwards attendance within the office might be very different, however PwC is already committed to flexible ways of working and believe in the benefits that a balance between office and home working can bring.
The Watford office is part of PwC’s firmwide strategy to deliver a broader range of services in larger offices outside London. PwC now has more than 10,000 UK employees based outside London, with 2,000 based across the South East.
The Watford office will provide services to clients and communities in Beds, Herts, Bucks, West London, South Essex and beyond.
Caroline Bevan, PwC Watford Office Senior Partner, who will be speaking at the West London Business Leaders Reception on Thurs 24 September, commented:
“I’m really excited for us to be joining Watford’s business community at 40 Clarendon Road later this year. This premier location will provide an exceptional base for us to connect with our phenomenal clients, communities and people from across our wide reaching geography.
“While the traditional office model may have transformed following the pandemic, I firmly believe there is still a place for local offices, allowing teams the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and clients, and generate new ideas.
“We are also committed to recruiting diverse local talent, widening our skills and capabilities which will enable us to continue to offer the best possible services to our clients.”
