Spark! H&F Career Mentoring Programme Launch

Spark!’s impactful Career Mentoring programme is expanding into Hammersmith and Fulham.

Funded by the Greater London Authority under their ‘New Deal for Young People’ priorities, the project will provide one-to-one career mentoring for two hundred 16-21 year olds, who are ‘Not in Employment Education or Training (NEET)’ and for those identified as being at risk of becoming NEET. Participating young people will be matched with local employer volunteer mentors, be offered ongoing pastoral support, take part in personal development workshops, and have access to Spark!’s online careers and employability platform.

The programme, ‘Ready, Steady, CONNECT!’, is being delivered in partnership by Spark!, 2-3 Degrees and Young Hammersmith and Fulham Foundation. Working with The Kids Network, the partnership will also be establishing a local Mentoring Network, offering one-to-one capacity building support to organisations in the borough who deliver mentoring to young people.

Launching on launching on May 19th, 11am to Noon, the initial launch gathering will be hosted at HuckleTree West, The MediaWorks Building, 191 Wood Lane, London W12 7FP. Refreshments will be served and there will be an opportunity to meet and network with likeminded individuals.
